So what about the courses?  What can we offer?

Vectorworks Training Courses
Our Vectorworks training courses are usually offered on a one to one basis and that's our clients' usual preference.  This allows you to get the best from the session as we can cover exactly what YOU want to cover, and you can choose to work on your own projects if you wish. You can progress at a pace which suits you. In a one to one session, 4 to 6 modules in a day is reasonable, depending on your skills.  Bear in mind that once you have covered the basics, you can pick and choose the modules most appropriate to you OR we can hand-hold as you take the plunge and work through one of your own projects. Small groups can also attend together, but bear in mind that the more attendees there are, the less flexible the day becomes.  You can come to us, or we can come to you.

How much can we cover?
The Vectorworks training agenda is very much up to you, but there are various modules from which to choose.  Clearly there are some basics which need to be covered but from there we can work in two ways - either Feature-based (where we look in detail at the various tools available) or Workflow-based where we follow the typical flow of a design project. Using the latter agenda, you can expect to have drawn up a simple survey, drawn a simple garden and mastered different graphic effects, added some hard landscaping, added some planting and prepared various views of the drawings for printing.

Group Training Sessions
Vectorworks can also be learned in groups. Depending on numbers, we can arrange an appropriate venue and agenda to suit you all. I can accommodate a group of up to four people without having to hire a special venue. If your group is larger, it's not a problem - we can usually find somewhere suitable for you all to learn. Do bear in mind though that with a larger group, it does take longer to cover all the material as different questions will come up from each of you. More advanced "Master Class" courses
If you're not new to Vectorworks but feel there is more you could be getting out of the product we still have plenty to offer. We regularly train larger practices or more experienced users and find we add value to their business by identifying bottlenecks and recommending smarter ways of working. We can offer courses on various specific topics include 3D drawing, rendering with Renderworks and Terrain Modelling. Our latest Masterclass courses are published on our events page.

Not sure whether Vectorworks is for you? 
We can happily offer you a half hour demonstration of the product. This can usually be achieved with both of us sat at our computer screens - no travel necessary! This will give you an understanding of the breadth and capability of the program.

My courses are structured so that they can be run on the demonstration version of the software - which is free to use for 30 days.  That way, you can get to grips with the basics and see how it's going to work for you.
